Do you think Beethoven meant for his Moonlight Sonata sound a bit like struggle?

I noticed that parts of the song sound slow in reaction, almost as though one is struggling against some force to play this song. As written I have no doubt. I feel this maybe a representation of death. Perhaps one trying to complete the song before death. "A long as I'm playing I'm alive" and even though they know they're dying the put everything they have into playing this song. And on the final note they've come to terms with the fact that they will die, and on the final note release.
