Anime movie about Pangea and continental drift with a pink blob named "Genie"?

Today in science, we were watching a animated video that contained a little pink blob named Genie (that looked a bit similar to this: a href="http://th06.deviantart.com/fs25/300W/f/2008/063/1/c/003_by_meangreen101.jpg)" rel="nofollow"http://th06.deviantart.com/fs25/300W/f/2…/a explaining to a little boy and girl (they looked Chinese or Japanese) about Pangea, the layers of the Earth, heat transfer, the life of Alfred Wegener etc. It was possibly an anime, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows the name of this, I'd really appreciate it.
