How long does it take to recover from neuro-surgery?

Within the last 3 months my grandmother has been diagnosed with kidney stones (which have migrated to her pancreas), heart disease, cancer, tumors on her stomach, and most recently, a half-dollar-sized tumor on her brain by her left temple. She is scheduled to have neuro-surgery in the morning at Hershey Medical Center. Serious answers only please, from those who've been through similar situations or who are educated in the matter. If you know anyone who has had neuro-surgery at HMC, please respond with your experience there. Also, please include sources if citing a website. Thanks.
