Does solder wicking braid make a good conductor?

Am trying ot construct a dew heater for a telescope and found a site which uses solder wicking braid as a conductor to join resistors ( a href="http://www.myastrospace.com/DIY_Dew_Heater.htm)" rel="nofollow"http://www.myastrospace.com/DIY_Dew_Heat…/a so was wondering if this would work.
